Run Where, Exactly?

I sent them this reply, referencing a Knoxville Gun Rights Examiner column by Liston Matthews I linked to earlier this month:
So is he going to answer this?
http://www.examiner.com/article/gun-rights-quiz-for-dr-ben-carson

How about some unequivocal specifics to undo some of the damage he has done to his credibility with gun owners? How about running toward addressing their legitimate concerns, instead of away from them?

Or should I instead convey the campaign's silence and avoidance?
UPDATE: Well, I got an answer for Liston:
It is very unlikely Dr.Carson will be able to respond to this, he has been very busy lately. His book tours are very time consuming, and you would have to contact him directly for a response. The Draft Ben Carson effort is not associated with Dr.Carson, meaning, we can not communicate with him by law. However, everything Dr.Carson has stated concerning gun laws is below. Rest assured, he certainly does support the 2nd Amendment.

Does Dr. Carson support the Second Amendment? - Yes.***** Dr. Carson wants to keep guns out of the hands of mentally impaired individuals and violent criminals, and he fully supports gun ownership for law-abiding citizens.

Some of his comments include: “To threaten the Second Amendment rights of ordinary American citizens is itself insanity. Those wishing to ban all assault weapons fail to understand the original intent of the Second Amendment.”

"I used to think they (guns) needed to be registered, but if you register them they just come and find you and take your guns."

"If we were only concerned about external forces, then we would be okay, but there are some pretty sinister internal forces."

"I truly believe in Second Amendment rights. I would never advocate anything to interfere with Second Amendment rights; however, I do think we have to be intelligent."

We need to engage in a discussion about, 'Is there something we can do?'" (about keeping guns away from criminals and mentally ill people.)

"We have to keep in mind that law-abiding American citizens absolutely should have gun rights."

Thanks,

"Rest assured"?  Did they really just say that? To me?

I wonder if Kurt will...

So: How do we bypass the cheerleading squad and reach the man behind the curtain?

Still waiting for Dr. Carson's reply. . . feeling like a smurf: http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110914021916/smurfs/images/a/a2/Male_Smurf_Comic_Book.jpg

Let's see.... here's the deal. All this talk about keeping guns (and other weapons) out of the hands of the mentally ill and criminals is itself insane. There is no rational way to do that, no matter how severe the "laws" and repression. Not possible even in maximum security prison.

Then, who defines "mentally ill" or "criminal" in the first place?

Yep. The very same people who want to make sure the majority of ordinary people are kept helpless and under their control. And those same ordinary people will be the only ones even inconvenienced by all the "laws" they put in place.

No thanks. I'll take my chances defending myself from anyone who tries to harm me... mentally ill or otherwise.

"The Draft Ben Carson effort is not associated with Dr.Carson, meaning, we can not communicate with him by law."

For those not clued into to Super PACs, that's an incorrect attempt to weasel out: "Super PACs are not allowed to coordinate directly with candidates or political parties. [...] However, it is legal for candidates and Super PAC managers to discuss campaign strategy and tactics through the media."

Which means they can publicize the questionnaire and encourage Carson to respond. Not that they want that to happen, since he's -- putting it kindly -- damned weak on RKBA; the best you can say for him is that he's willing to waffle and flipflop in an attempt to say what he thinks the current audience wants to hear, so long as it can't be spun as offensive to yet another needed block of clueless voters.

Sorry, I'm not about to vote for a clown who (probably?) thinks human rights are implicit in one's current location, rather than in the human.

The draft Ben Carson effort is ran by volunteers, they don't have any communication with Dr. Carson. Federal Election laws do not allow that for a Draft Committee. Here is his mailing address if you would like conctact him:
Benjamin Carson, M.D.
305 West Chesapeake Avenue, Suite 310
Towson, MD 21204

Anonymous, do you read? That super PAC cannot coordinate with him. They can communicate. Most certainly they can publicly request him to clarify/correct/weasel out of his statement that human/civil rights are inherent in locations not humans.

I've attempted to contact Carson on this issue. He ignored me. Maybe he wouldn't ignore the PAC supposedly drafting him and raising money to support him.

Ben Carson is not a conservative. He's an open-border, pro-invasion, pro-occupation, pro-"cheap labor", pro-amnesty RINO, which means he's indirectly anti-gun. His immigration policies ensure mass gun confiscation within 20 years, which is why Bloomberg supports the same policies.

We are facing vastly excessive legal immigration, and a government-invasion, occupation and takeover of the USA. The native born citizenry's voting control of our country is being overwhelmed. Because of this, within 20 years the USA will be worse off than California is, and for the same reason. We will lose the legislatures, and the courts, and our gun rights.

Carson thinks that's ok.

He's unfit to run for President.

Update: I received some... feedback on my post about this. It's either a clumsy phishing attempt, or the Draft the Weasel Committee is even more clueless than I thought.
