There's a Difference Between Cubs and Kids

Ames was less than four months away from transitioning from the Cub Scouts to the Boy Scouts, his mother said. [More]
Well shoot, he should fit right in.

First of all, this is fake news because he has not been expelled from the organization, even though the way this is worded will cause casual readers to infer that. And I question that he spontaneously came up with a detailed anti-gun questionnaire all by his own self.

If I had to guess, I'd say the adults in the den have probably had it with the mother.

She has the professional ad agency experience to know how to mass disseminate, and it appears she's getting plenty of free media publicity.

Remind you of anyone?

She worked with Saatchi? Forgive me for not putting a lot of faith in ad agency authenticity when it comes to guns.

I wonder why "official news" doesn't seem to think that's relevant information to share. Probably because the ones who know don't want you to, and the rest just exist to unquestioningly parrot talking points.

Not just Shannon Watts, but also the "founder" of the original Million Mom March, Donna Dees-Thomases. She was also touted as just a regular "stay at home mom", if you'll recall, but it turns out she was actually a professional publicist who had worked for both Dan Rather and David Letterman, and she was the sister-in-law of Susan Thomases, who was Hillary Clinton's personal lawyer and adviser back in the 1990's and early 2000's.

Oh, and the Million Mom March collapsed immediately after the Clinton's left the White House. They laid off 80% of their staff less than 2 months after George W. Bush was inaugurated, and could barely get 200 people to show up to their "protest" on Mother's Day 2001. By October, they were wholly taken over by The Brady Campaign.

"After Ames’s questions went on for more than two minutes, a leader in his group cut him off to allow the state senator to answer."

It appears that Ames has a career waiting for him at CNN, asking multiple questions that are more like statements of their own opinion than questions and not allowing the questioned person to answer.

I am surprised that the leader did not cut off Ames sooner, when Ames started to ask a second question without waiting for a response from the first question.

It could very well be that mother and son could not mesh well with the other members of the den and their parents and that this was not the first incident of discord.

People forget that Cub Scout Den Leaders are unpaid volunteers working with the other parents of the den (a group typically six to eight members of the same age) and pack (comprised of multiple dens serving several age groups led by a volunteer Cubmaster with the assistance of a volunteer Pack Committee) to provide a program within the guidelines set by the BSA.
